Use the easy Move-Out Wizard. |
|
|
|
|
The Move-Out Wizard takes care of all the steps you need to do to remove a customer from the billing system from one screen. The Move-Out Wizard makes it easy to move out a customer quickly.
Simply start at the top by selecting an address, and follow the buttons down the right side of the screen. Skip over any buttons with actions that do not apply to that customer. The buttons will:

Allow you to enter the final meter readings and then take the customer off of the meter. The meter can then be used by a new customer for billing.
|
|
|
|
|
Perform all the final actions needed to close the account like entering final bills, applying credits, taking payments and refunding deposits.
|
|
|
|
|
Remove the customer from their Location address and move the customer`s account to the Inactive list. |
|
|

|
|
|
Make Customers Inactive. |
|
|
|
|
Making Customers Inactive takes them off the main Active Customer list without losing any of their history information.
|
|
|
|
|
Make Customers inactive from one easy-to-use screen. |
|
|
|
|
The benefit of making a customer Inactive, instead of actually deleting the customer, is that it preserves the customer`s usage, payment and billing information in reports for future reference. The last button on the Move-Out Wizard take the customer off the Location address and makes them inactive.
|
|
|
|
|
Inactive customers are moved to the Inactive Customer list, where the customer information is easily accessed for future reference.
|
|
|
|
|
Inactive customers can still make payments on their account or have the balance written off as a bad debt.
|
|
|
|
|
Inactive customers can easily be made active again if they return to the area. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
Using the Move-Out Wizard requires a Service Address |
|
|
|
|
In order to use the Move-Out Wizard, you must have `Locations` set up in Utility Billing. The Locations are the service addresses of the customers. Locations are also used for billing flat rates and Occupancy Reports showing any vacancies in the system.
Locations are set up already in most systems. If you currently do not have Locations set up, please let us know. We can quickly add the Locations for you using the customer information already in your program. |
